A few of the projects that we currently support:

• Provide hearing aids for persons with impaired hearing
• Support the Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight & Hearing
• Recycle used eyeglasses
• Sponser the Puget Sound Blood Center blood drives
• Support Camp Horizon for challenged adults and kids
• Provide scholarships for local high school graduates
• Provide the Lions Health Screening Unit van for the community - Free
• Provide toys for the Toys for Tots & Tween program
• Provide the Island Easter Egg Hunt
• Provide fruit gift baskets for the elderly during the holidays
• Support youth outreach by providing funds for athletics, computers, special lessons, Destination Immagination, Orcas Recreation Department, Boy and Girl Scouts.

How do we pay for these projects?

Through your generosity and the generosity of the local lions members. When you purchase a salmon bake ticket for our annual July 4th weekend Salmon Bake, purchase a ticket for a raffle that we are sponsoring or by renting a tent and chairs for your special occasion -- you help the Orcas Island Lions provide these services.
